Laoyangjuan（老羊圈），a village in Datan Town（大滩镇） Fengning County（丰宁县），is about 250 km away from Beijing. It might be the nearest village from Hailiutu National Wetland Park（海留图国家湿地公园），located by the road， which makes it the best place for family-run-hotel（民宿）。
Datan, which is also known for China Horse Town（中国马镇）, has great advantage of horse ridding. people can ride horse in the endless grassland. This attracts plenty of tourists here for it. And here we are for these. And we live in a hotel in Laoyangjuan.
The sights are beautiful during the whole journey. It is just the beginning of autumn in Beijing, while here maybe one month earlier, where we can see the leaves turning yellow, both the trees and grass. It is a litter colder in the evening and night.
The hotel is splended. It has the normal sight-seeing rooms, and also the yurts, we ordered the latter. Though it is a sunrise-view room, we did not noticed it in the morning because over-slept. The owner plants lots of flowers in the yard, around the buildings, so it is very attractive. Swings are another very interesting things, they built them with normal wood, tyre, and a color-changing PVC ring, which will change colors in the evening. The food and the room also are splendid.
For people lived a city life, horse are not commonly seen, nor ride on it. So horse-ridding are very popular program here. After the negotiation with the master of the horse, they will help guests climbing and sitting on the horse, and then lead the whole trip. you can travel on the grassland, in the forest, or wherever you want, and if they want. All things are at the guests' wish. It's vey very good.
On our way back in the Banhu Line（半虎线）， I saw trees on both sides of the mountains are half yellow and half green. Then I realized that autumn is coming, and winter is not far away. People must make preparation for that.
